Over the past week, my inbox has blown up with one question: “How do I build an audience before I even launch?” I get it. Putting your art or your big idea out into the world without people there to catch it can feel like shouting into the void.

Today’s issue is all about belief driven momentum so you can turn curious scrolls into devoted fans before you launch.

What’s inside this issue:

  • Why belief beats bios and how to create demand before you ever drop

THE MAIN ATTRACTION

Your Content Is the Brand

You don’t need a flashy logo. You don’t need a long resume.
You need a reason for people to care.

And that starts with belief, not credentials.

Most creatives try to build a brand by telling people who they are.
“I’m a filmmaker.”
“I create comedy series.”
“I help people grow online.”

But let’s be honest. Nobody cares until they believe you’re saying something worth listening to. This is why I’m building my bootcamp. Join the waitlist here.

That’s why your content is the brand.

Not the trailer. Not the bio. Not the elevator pitch.
The actual stories you share. The way you show up. The feeling you create through your work.
That’s what makes people pay attention before the launch.

You can have the best project in the world sitting on your hard drive, but if no one believes in your point of view, it won’t matter.

So what do the best creators and filmmakers do?

They flip the script.

They lead with what they believe.
They create emotional buy-in before asking for attention.
They make the project feel like a movement before it even exists.

That is what builds trust.
That is what makes people wait in line.
That is how a so-called "unknown" creator builds a cultural moment.

HOW TO BUILD BELIEF BEFORE THE LAUNCH

Step 1: Lead with a Point of View
Stop introducing yourself by what you do. Start with what you believe.
Think of it as your thesis aka the idea that runs through everything you create.
This makes your content feel consistent and intentional, even before the project is ready.

Examples:

  • “I believe independent creators deserve to be funded like studios.”

  • “I believe comedy can be a form of activism.”

  • “I believe social media should serve the story, not the other way around.”

Now, every post, behind-the-scenes clip, or idea you share can anchor back to that belief.

Step 2: Create Emotional Demand
Before you ask people to watch, follow, or buy you need to give them a reason to care.
Share the why behind what you're building. Invite them into the world. Make them feel like insiders.

Ways to do this:

  • Tease the emotional stakes of your project, not just the concept

  • Share personal voice notes, inspiration, or moodboards

  • Start a public “creative diary” where people watch your idea take shape in real time

The goal is to make your audience believe they’re part of something before it even launches.

THAT’S A WRAP
