Hey, it’s Jerrica.
A few weeks ago, we talked about becoming Hollywood-Optional and building outside the system.
Last week, we unpacked what it means to be underrecognized but not underqualified.
This week, we’re getting practical. Visibility is great. But visibility that leads to funding, brand deals, and creative partnerships is even better.
Let me introduce you to someone who helped me from the very beginning.
Tara Knight was the first person I worked with to help support my brand!
She’s now the Head of Creator Marketing at Creator Match, one of my favorite tools on LinkedIn.
Creator Match has been a game changer for me as I wrap up my 90-day LinkedIn challenge. It helped me grow, stay consistent, and get noticed by the people who actually matter (you)!
Today, Tara is sharing exactly how creators can use LinkedIn to land brand deals and build real partnerships.
What’s inside this issue:
Why LinkedIn is still the most overlooked platform for creators
What Creator Match looks for when selecting talent for brand deals
How to build a media kit that actually converts
What kind of brand rates LinkedIn creators can command
The qualities brands care about most when choosing creators

THE MAIN ATTRACTION
Why LinkedIn?
So why bother with LinkedIn when everyone's obsessed with TikTok and Instagram? I hear this question daily…
The money's here:
LinkedIn is literally where people with budgets hang out. While you're reaching teenagers on TikTok, you're reaching CEOs and department heads on LinkedIn who can actually approve purchases.
For visual content specifically, LinkedIn is low-key amazing right now:
The majority of posters are doing text posts, so when you drop something visually interesting, it really pops. There's way less competition for eyeballs compared to platforms where everyone's a video pro.
Basically:
While everyone's fighting for attention on crowded platforms, LinkedIn is like this untapped gold mine where you can actually stand out and reach people who make decisions. The platform is actively trying to become more creator-friendly, so the opportunity is just getting better.
Leveraging Creator Match
There’s a few key things I tell creators when they ask me this in regards to deals with us and deals in general:
Fill out our Creator Interest Form:
This puts you in our Creator CRM so we actually think of you when we're looking for creators. If you're not in our system, you’re likely not on our radar. Access the link to this form here.Stay on our radar:
The creators who get the most deals are the ones we actually remember exist. Updated your media kit? Send it our way. Crushed a recent brand partnership? Let us know. See us posting on LinkedIn? Drop a comment so we remember your name. Out of sight = out of deals.
Bottom line:
The creators getting the most deals aren't just content machines. They position themselves as actual business partners. Show us you understand what brands need and can deliver real business results, not just pretty posts.
Media Kits That Convert
Here's what I'm actually looking for when creators send me their media kits:
Show me the real data:
Skip the vanity metrics and give me the stuff that matters. I need engagement rates, who your audience actually is, and how they interact with your posts. Don't just tell me you have 10K followers—show me what those followers do.
Tip: No access to LinkedIn analytics? Grab the Creator Match Chrome extension for free. Click here.Have an actual point of view:
Generic content is everywhere. What makes YOU different? Your media kit needs to make it crystal clear what your angle is and why your take matters in your industry.
Tip: When you're pitching for a deal you really want, tailor your content pillars to match what that brand's audience cares about.
What really makes creators stand out isn't fancy follower counts.
It's proof that people actually care about what you say. We're looking for creators who spark real conversations and have built a community that actually trusts them enough to buy what they recommend.
Earning Potential on LinkedIn
There’s unfortunately no magic formula for creator rates on LinkedIn. It's not as simple as "10K followers = $X" because LinkedIn creators are wildly different from each other.
When I'm figuring out what a creator should charge, here's what actually matters:
Who follows you matters more than how many:
A creator with 10K C-suite execs can absolutely charge the same, if not more, than someone with 100K college grads.Engagement is my BS detector:
This is probably the #1 thing I check. If you're claiming your audience is valuable, they better be showing up in your comments and shares.
The LinkedIn advantage is real:
Your audience has actual money and decision-making power
Your content doesn't die after 24 hours
What Brands Want
Most brands are looking for the same core things:
Audience that makes sense:
Do your followers care about what the brand sells? Are they decision-makers with budget authority?Quality content that doesn't suck:
Brands want to trust that your content will look good and represent them well.Real expertise (not just talk):
LinkedIn audiences can spot fake knowledge fast. Brands want creators who have earned trust in their space.
The truth about engagement?
Ten comments from industry VPs matter more than 100 random likes. Brands care about who engages, not just how many.
So many gems were dropped in this one. Tara really is the GOAT.
If you’ve been trying to figure out how to stand out, grow with intention, and get real opportunities on LinkedIn, I hope this gave you the blueprint.
Now you’ve got the tools. Don’t just scroll! Show up!
Your next deal or collab might be one post away.
